A Skin-Boosting Thanksgiving Recipe You Will Love

Fall is certainly the season for enjoying pumpkin versions of just about everything, and there are some great skin boosting benefits to it as well. For starters, it is loaded with beta carotene, a very powerful antioxidant. This gets converted to vitamin A, which is where the real skin benefits come in. Vitamin A helps to prevent wrinkles, keep skin hydrated and gives you that youthful glow. Pumpkin is also packed with vitamin C which boosts your immune system and helps protect the collagen in your skin. So be sure to incorporate some of this powerhouse vegetable into your Thanksgiving menu this year. Trust us, your radiant skin will thank you!

How to Keep Your Skin Healthy While Traveling

Let’s be honest, the holidays often come with enough stress all on their own, we certainly don’t need to add to it. But like it or not, the first place that stress tends to show up is on our skin. So whether you are traveling by air, train, or car this year we are sharing some easy tips for keeping your skin health in check. You will arrive at your holiday destination with glowing, clear, hydrated skin that will be the envy of your friends and family.

  1. Take a glucosamine supplement for the week leading up to your travel. This will increase your levels of hyaluronic acid levels which allows your skin to stay more hydrated.
  2. Up your intake of omega 3 fatty acids to help reduce inflammation and dryness of your skin.
  3. Travel in soft, breathable fabrics.
  4. Bring your own pillowcase! Hotels, and family and friends, can often use harsh or unfamiliar detergents that can take a toll on your skin.
  5. Pack a travel size humidifier.
  6. Stay relaxed and stress-free.
  7. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your travel.
  8. Pack a facial hydration mist to use on the plane.
